:: the Magnet and the iron nails ::
First of all.. I am very sorry for not blogging for the past few weeks.. my computer broke down.. haha...
In the old and new testament of the Holy bible, there have been at least 300 different verses stating Christ's return to earth to bring home faithful believers who fufill His will in their lives before the time of the great tribulation where immense suffering will fill the earth. We christians name the second coming of Christ as the Rapture.
anyway... ever wondered how the rapture is like? ever wondered how things will occur? Imagine the turmoil and the confusion when your loved ones suddenly just disappear and you are left behind... My church pastor gave quite a good illustration of the rapture yesterday at Vanished, an event hosted by the region C youths of my church and I would like to share it with all of you.
okay... imagine God is a carpenter and He wants to seperate 3 different items which are mixed together in a box-iron nails, toothpicks and sawdust using a magnet. The box represents this world in which 3 different types of people co-exist together.
Faithful christians who walk God's ways and serve Him with all their hearts are the iron nails. Unfaithful christians who are not living right with God and are not following Him are the toothpicks and the unbelievers are sawdust.
The carpentner (God), uses a magnet which in this scenario, represents Jesus, our Saviour. Because the iron nails have the same nature, the same characterisitics as the magnet, they are attracted to the magnet from above. This will be how faithful christians rise up to meet Jesus.
As for the toothpicks and sawdust, they will have to go through the great tribulation which is a time of great suffering.
If today, if you belong to the iron nail group, you are blessed because you are going to heaven.
If you are in the group of toothpicks, please pray to God and repent. Because God is a forgiving God. God is a merciful God, full of grace and love. If you truly repent, God will surely bless you.
If you are the sawdust ( unchurched people ), you are the group who will perish in hell. Today, if this message has encouraged your hearts, if God has touched you in any particular way, please plug yourself in a local church and receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour.
