:: Are you really baptised by the Holy Spirit? ::

Matthew 3:11 ""I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire"

This is just one of the verses that show that christians can be baptised by the Holy Spirit.

But...

1 John 4:1 "Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are God"

In this area of being baptised by the Holy Spirit, there are many types of people:
1). Those that are genuinely filled and baptised.
2). Those that fake baptism to impress others and act as a pharisee.
3). Those that are not baptised.

Testing to see if you are baptised in the Holy Spirit.

1). A genuine baptism causes us to love, magnify and glorify God more than before.

Romans 5:5 "God has poured His love into our hears by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us"

If any baptism draws you away from God to adore and worship anything else, the baptism is not from God.

2). A genuine baptism in the Holy Spirit will increase the conciousness of our relationship with the Father.

Romans 8:15 " For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave to fear but you received the spirit of sonship. And by Him, we cry "Abba, Father"

3). A genuine baptism in the Holy Spirit will cause you to love and appreciate God's word more.

John 8:31 " If you hold on to my teaching, you are really my disciples."

4). A geunine baptism will deepen our love and concern for fellow believers.

1 John 4:21 "Whoever loves God must also love his brother"

5). A genuine baptism in the Holy Spirit must precede by our turning from sin and faithfully obeying Christ.

Acts 2:38 "Repent and be baptised. Everyone in the name of Jesus Christ,for the forgiveness of your sin. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

6). Genuine baptism of the Holy Spirit will intensify displeasure for godless pleasures and earthly riches.

1 John 2:15 " Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

7). Real baptism will give us greater desire and power to witness the saving work of Jesus Christ.

Luke 4:18 " The spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has annointed me to preach good news to the poor, freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to blind, to release the oppressed and to proclaim of His favour.:

8). Genuine baptism will cause receptiveness to the Spirit's operations with God's kingdom.

Galatians 3:5 "Does God give you His Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law or because you believe what you heard?"


This are just some pointers on how you know you are really filled with the Holy Ghost.

I want to say that baptism in the Holy Spirit can only be substained by your faith and your continuity to live a sanctified life, one that is not of the world but pleasing to God.

Lets see.. If you watch tv (which is one of the most worldly thing), you go out and party with your friends when you really should be praying and seeking God, when your greatest desire is to win a badge, to attend a course, to get a promotion, you expect the Holy Spirit to do a work in your life? Who are you kidding?

For those people who are faking your baptism and speaking in tongues that you invented, you
are drawing judgement unto yourself. I have seen people speak in one set of tongues in church and another set of tongues outside church, these are pharisees.... whose punishment is worse than most people....

People, God is calling people that are sanctified and Christ-like to do His will. He's not going to send an army.. He's going to look for christians that set themselves apart for God and are devoted to live for Him and not themselves. The only thing that can impact this world is not a christian, but a Spiritual Nazarithe that is completely seperated from the world. Because only a spiritual nazarithe has the fullness and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
